The diesel problem ‘may already be solved’

The diesel problem may already be solved due to the latest advances in technology, according to a report in the US-based fleet newsletter, Fleet Management Weekly, which says news of diesel’s demise may be premature.

Stuttgart bans Euro 4 diesels under new ruling

Stuttgart, the home of Mercedes and Porsche, is to become the latest city in Germany to introduce a ban on some diesel vehicles. The ban, which follows legal action by environmental groups, will come into effect from next January and will apply to the city centre. 

New car sales benefit from a WLTP blip in August

This year saw the best August monthly performance in the European new car market in the last twenty years, largely due to vehicle manufacturers rushing to register new cars ahead of the September 1 deadline for the introduction of the new Worldwide harmonized Light Vehicles Test Procedure (WLTP).
