Hyundai Motor Group has become the latest shareholder to join the Ionity joint venture, the fast-charging European network. Ionity was founded in 2017 and is a joint venture by BMW Group, Mercedes-Benz AG, Ford and the Volkswagen Group. The network has more than 400 charging stations along major European highways, providing fast charging of up to 350kW and backed by 100% renewable energy.
